Whatcom Prevention Coalition Mission: To build safe and healthy communities by providing leadership, promoting prevention, and building partnerships that mobilize youth, families, and neighborhoods to reduce substance abuse and other harmful behaviors among youth and the broader community.
WPC Equity Statement: To help build and support a connected and beloved community, the Whatcom Prevention Coalition recognizes the destructive effects of racism and historical trauma on our youth, families and community. We recognize cultural bias and privilege and focus on racism because it is the wedge that supports all isms. The WPC will build on hope to challenge racism.
