JOB SUMMARY: Manage communications aligned with mission. Promote trainings, community events, and engagement opportunities. Write and design to craft compelling content.
STATUS: Permanent, Non-Exempt. .4 FTE (16 hrs/week)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans to promote events, engage participants, and enhance organizational visibility.
- Work within and improve communication systems, including contact lists for audience segmentation and to document effective communication channels.
- Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing materials for various platforms, including social media, website, and local media outlets.
- Plan and coordinate logistics, as needed for various trainings, workshops, and community events
- Monitor and evaluate event and communication effectiveness, gather feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate and communicate with both internal team and community members to ensure alignment with organizational branding and impactful communication strategy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong written, verbal and graphic communication skills, attend to accuracy, messaging and detail.
- Organizational abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience in community engagement platforms (Flipcause, MailChimp), web content management (WordPress), and design, photo & video-editing (Canva). On the job training (OJIT) provided.
- Familiar using social media platforms and marketing tools for promotion. OJT provided.

- Learn new concepts quickly and adapt easily to new information and priorities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications related role.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field, a plus.
COMPENSATION:
- Starting Range DOE: $ 25 to $33/Hr
- Flexible work hours, 15 PTO days base (includes health and vacation), 11 holidays, optional Simple IRA with 3% match.
